Eight Mansions traditions can recommend a favorable direction for the direction a person faces while working. This is different from where the desk is located in the room and from the direction the back of the chair faces. Decide which interpretation you are using before rearranging anything.

A desk that faces a blank wall but supports deep focus may be more useful than a “favorable” direction that produces glare or foot traffic.
